Hastings and the Plains

Napier
Twenty minutes north, salt off the bay and 1930s Art Deco plaster homes change both the unit and where its outdoor half can go.

Havelock North and the coast
Cold air drains off Te Mata onto the village while the shingle coast four kilometres east barely frosts at all and takes salt instead.

Flaxmere and Camberley
1960s and 70s state-built homes with single glazing and little insulation, on the coldest part of the plains. The biggest gain for the least money.

Do you charge a travel fee for outlying areas?
